Chapter 01 — A short history

A short walk
through history.

Every decade invents the tool that makes the next one possible. This is the room where you meet ours.

1990s

I. The Web

Tim Berners-Lee opens the World Wide Web to the public in 1991. Within a decade, anyone with a modem can publish to anyone with a browser.

2000s

II. The Cloud

Amazon launches AWS in 2006. Compute, storage and software stop being things you own and become things you rent by the minute.

2007

III. The Pocket

The iPhone puts a connected computer in a billion pockets. Software becomes something you carry, tap and expect everywhere.

2010s

IV. The Feed

Facebook, Instagram and TikTok turn attention into the world's most contested resource. Marketing, news and culture all reorganise around the feed.

2022

V. The Conversation

ChatGPT launches in November 2022 and crosses 100 million users in two months. For the first time, software you can simply talk to — and it talks back with answers, drafts and ideas.

2026

VI. The Workforce

AI stops chatting and starts doing. Agents draft your proposals, answer your inbox, build your spreadsheets and run your workflows overnight. Your next hire doesn't need a desk, and this is the room where you learn to manage them.

Chapter 02 — The Programme

Four steps.
One afternoon.

I

Arrive curious.

No prep, no prerequisites. Bring the questions you've been quietly wondering about AI, we start from there.

II

Configure your workspace.

We set the tools to the shape of your work, your voice, your customers, your files, your constraints.

III

Build one real thing.

Not a sandbox toy. A workflow tied to a question you actually carry into Monday morning.

IV

Leave with the key.

You take it home. It keeps running. You know how to extend it. The room stays open.

Chapter 03 — Who's running it

Your presenters.

Parisa Shademan and Kent Barber, founders of Creative Coast

Parisa Shademan and Kent Barber, founders of Creative Coast, a Wellington-based product studio specialising in AI, automations and internal tools for small businesses. We both run the workshops and build the products, so what we teach comes from work we actually ship.

The AI space is dominated by complexity. Tools sold before anyone's worked out the actual problem, and resources that take months before you can do anything useful. Our workshops are designed to fix that. They're built for non-technical business owners and operators who have no tech background and no spare hours. Everything here starts with a real business problem, not a complicated workflow. Join us and learn AI the way it should have been all along: practical, problem-first, and without the overwhelm.

Chapter 04 — Why come
Because notesdon't ship.
Because YouTubedoesn't know your business.
Because the roomis smaller than the webinar.
Because curiosityis the only prerequisite.
Chapter 05 — In their words

What past
attendees said.

The workshop isn't just about teaching you to do a workflow, it's about opening your mind to what is possible in your current day to day actions that could be streamlined to be better and faster and still sound like you.

For anyone wanting to get started with Claude Cowork - Parisa's workshops are a must.

The group workshop was super informative and helped me see what the AI is already capable of. For a newbie like me, Parisa, you made it all very approachable.

Thank you for your session last week Parisa. The example you had us work through gave me the confidence to create a couple of automations for helping us free up time & headspace to better focus on our patients. One is perfect, the other is still in refinement mode. Without your session, I'd have not known even where to begin! I highly recommend Parisa's training! Thank you!! :-)
